Is it just me or is thing more trouble than its worth?

You raise an excellent question. Some applications—such as tagging a coffee cup—seem like overkill; but I think consumers will find new applications which we aren’t even thinking about right now.

It would work better for kids to implant RFID into their behinds and put a sensor near the game box controler.

The application seems kinda useless now but it may prove out.  The home computer seemed useless in the beginning.
