If you have found our page, then you must be looking for hints and tips to help better your essay writing ability. Well, below we have included our top five tips for business essay writing that will help keep you on track whilst you are writing your essay and help you achieve the best grade possible once you have finished your piece of work.

Tip One: Before Anything, Fully Flesh Out Your Topic

A common mistake that many students make when writing their essay is choosing a topic that while they may feel passionate about, can also suffer from a lack of research conducted on the topic previously, or perhaps the subject is over-saturated with research pieces already. Choosing an overly popular research topic or area can cause your own essay to seem like it is just repeating what has already been said and discovered by others. In order to avoid doing this, you must conduct thorough research on the topic itself so that you know what research has been done before, which will help you identify any gaps in the research which will inform your own essay and research topic.

Tip Two: Create A Structured Plan

Now you know what topic you wish to cover in your essay, it is important to now create a format or plan for your essay. This will keep you both on track and allow your essay to flow naturally to the reader. The basic structure of any essay is the: introduction, main body, conclusion. However, in order to take your essay plan a step further, you will want to include any key headers within those sections so that you can link each section together more seamlessly, or just assign this job to any website that writes essays. Also, using headers within your main body will provide both natural breaks for the reader and also allow you, as the writer, to keep track of the information you have previously included in your essay, making it easier to refer back to.

Tip Three: Collect Relevant And Important Research

While it is important to create and define the purpose of your essay and make it stand-alone away from previous pieces of work done on the topic you have chosen, it is also important to refer back and reference the research done previously by others. By conducting secondary research and discovering the key theorists and themes of your topic, you will earn a better grade. This is because it shows the marker of your essay that not only have you conducted thorough research on your topic and can demonstrate an enriched knowledge of it, but it will also show where your essay and work differ from the work completed by others.

Tip Four: Conduct Multiple Read Through’s

Once you have written your essay, or even whilst you are writing your piece of work, it is important to read through. Many students opt to not re-read their work at any point during the writing process and, therefore, they end up missing many mistakes and lose the opportunity to better their work. These two reasons alone are why we cannot express enough the importance of re-reading your work. You may only wish to do this when you have written the piece completely and re-read the whole essay a few times. We, however, recommend reading your essay through every time you have completed a section and then multiple times once you have finished the piece before submitting it.

Tip Five: Get Someone Else To Read Through Your Essay Before Submitting

The final tip that we suggest you take on board and either do multiple times throughout the essay writing process or just at the end is asking others to read through your work. This can either be a trusted individual with a good standard knowledge of the written language you are writing in, a school professional, or perhaps another individual that you share your class or course with. It is perfectly natural for your eyes to miss simple mistakes or opportunities for expansion just because they have looked over and read through the same piece of work many times. By asking another individual to read through your work, they may see mistakes that you have missed or see areas where you can better your work by expanding on what you have already written.

And those are our top five tips for business school essay writing. Just being patient and taking your time to work through each section of the essay writing process can make a vast difference to your final grade, and following our top five tips above are key reminders that you should definitely follow.

I was recently dealing with this situation with a new employee.

He said to me:

“You told me about your adaptation system, how strong and detailed it is. But I see that you do not teach anything, nothing is clear, and your materials do not help, I have read everything, my head is buzzing, and the appointed mentor does not want to sit with me and show me how and what to do.

I was thinking “geez, yeah, how come, where’s the mistake in the adaptation?”

And then I realized that it’s important to separate adaptation and learning, and the error is actually there and it’s elsewhere.

Adaptation – we take a person who is able to do our tasks, has all the necessary knowledge and competencies to do that, and we tell him how to do those tasks in our company. Where to take the tasks from, in what sequence to do, who to go to with what question, where to get what templates and examples, etc.

Training – we take a person who can’t do our tasks now, but has potential. And we teach.

Training is long, complicated and does not always bring results. Adaptation does not always bring results, but it is much easier in the organization and you can quickly see if the adaptation was successful.

We decided for ourselves a long time ago not to teach anyone, but to adapt. Therefore we develop at the same time

The adaptation system for all positions from assistant to manager to PSO.

The hiring system, which allows us to hire only people who can already fulfill our tasks.

Thus, in the situation above we really had a mistake, but an error in the hiring system, we took a person who is not able to do what we have to do on this position. Well, we didn’t plan to teach. We do not teach accountants, programmers, analysts. There are special courses and educational institutions for that.

We helped my colleague find the right training course. I think we had a positive exchange of views, but all the same, both sides spent time, not good. Error must be corrected.

And you decide for yourself – do you have training or adaptation at the entrance to the company? If the answer is “nothing”, please contact us, we can help with materials and processes of adaptation. But not with training 🙂
